Vismaya Lake Heritage is a 400 year old traditional Kerala style home (Illom) that was completely restored and renovated by the Swiss German architect, Karl Damschen. The villa comes with a large pool with direct views over the backwaters, an aired out patio, a beautifully styled lawn sprawled out around the villa, complete with a swing and two hammocks.

The wonderful host Mr. Vinod and other staff are always available at the staff quarters right behind the villa. Their services are at all times just a phone call away.

Good to Know :

The Villa has 2 100 sq. metre guest bedrooms with attached bath gardens. One is a double room with one queen sized bed and the second room has twin single beds (which can be attached or kept separate). You can book your stay at the Villa in one of these following ways :

One Bedroom –  in which case you will have to share the villa and the amenities with the occupants of the second room if there are any.

Private for Two – lets you use the double room in the Villa and have the whole property to yourself. It’s perfect for a private romantic getaway for two. You cannot however use the second bedroom.

Fine Dining :

Choose what your heart desires for each meal. Ranging from soul touching traditional Kerala cuisine to Continental and Italian, the à la carte Menu doesn’t disappoint. We truly enjoyed every single meal on the spacious Patio and ate to our heart’s content. The romantic candlelight dinner was definitely special.

Extra Services :

The property also has its own private boat jetty. While it’s a great place to enjoy your evening tea, contact Mr. Vinod for a private boat over the Vembanad lake tour that’s totally worth every minute of your time.
